Curated, customized photography for the office space
From initial pitches, to material sourcing, to selecting frames and mounts, to final edits, this work was a collaboration from start to finish and has been enjoyed by all who enter the spaces.
The first series of images hangs in hallway #1 along a common space. Here, employees are encouraged to hang out on the couches, eat lunch, play board games, or even bring their laptops over to work while taking a break from their desks. With the informal nature of this space, the images are meant to be lighthearted, silly, colorful, and whimsical. Each photo tells its own story. The scenes contain miniature superhero figurines, tiny Samurai fighters, a deconstructed keyboard and more, all with the goal to relate back to the tech world while showcasing it in a different way than we’re used to.
The second series, in hallway #2, is right across from the offices of management. With this in mind, these images focused more on technology as a whole, and how it has developed over time. Props for the images were sourced mainly from thrift stores and included film cameras, VR headsets, cassette tapes, old calculators, and more. Each image was captured with colored gels in order to give them individual colorful identities, which match the paint colors on the walls surrounding this space. This series is meant to be an acknowledgement of electronics and devices of the past, and a nod to the innovation and exploration of the future.
